Family

Hello again.  Here is page I made of our family (my mom, dad, daughter, and myself) when we went apple picking last Fall.  The papers and most of the embellishments came from the November 2013 Scraptastic Home Kit.  I really like the rich Fall colors of this kit.  Here is a pic of the overall layout.

For the background I tried to keep it simple only taking an Ali Edwards stamp set and embossing the starbursts in gold Stampendous embossing powder.

The "family" and the leaves are cut using my silhouette cameo.  The only way I tend to use my cameo is when I sit down one day and just cut a bunch of things out of white cardstock or watercolor paper and later color it to match what ever layout is may go on.  I don't tend to start a page and then stop to cut.

The fibers that are tied around the leaves in both of the clusters are from my stash.  I love, love, love the puffy stickers that came in this kit and there is one in each of the clusters.

The good times is also cut using my silhouette and colored using my Studio Calico mists.

I used my Heidi Swapp date stamp to add the date and a few enamel dots finish this layout off.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a good day and see you next time.

  1. So cute! Love the use of the creatures on the layout! I will have to try making a background like this sometime. Great technique!

    1. Thanks Tiffany. The background was so easy. I always find it hard to use up the cardstock and tend to use only my patterned paper. This is a good way to get my overwhelming stash of cardstock used up.
