Teresa Collins Memorabilia 12x12 Layout

Here is a second page that I put together using the Teresa Collins - Memorabilia collection that I got from Crafty Steals.  The picture was taken at a local photography studio in the mall.  I love how she looks so happy in the picture and just having a great time (sorry you can't actually see due to the blur).  I am not the biggest fan of studio photography, but this pic turned out really well.  Very casual and fun.

For the page I used mostly from the Memorabilia collection, but I also used some old things from my stash.  It is so nice to incorporate those items, get them off of the shelf, and into the pages.  For the full list of items see below.  Now for some pics.

Lovely Little Lady

Today I used some new items (for me) that I picked up from Crafty Steals.  Most of the items are from the Teresa Collins - Memorabilia collection.  These are different colors that what I have been using lately, so it is nice to use something a bit different.  It still has the somewhat distressed/worn look that I like, but more elegant.  I really like the gold boarders.

The picture is of my daughter about 2 years ago.  On a side note, sorry for the blurry faces on most of my layouts.  I really love sharing my pages and things, but not sure if I am ready to show pictures of my daughter to the world.  I hope it is not too distracting.  I would really like to start making process videos on YouTube, but I am not sure how I would work around the pictures.  I could scrap without the pictures, but that wouldn't be so much fun.  I guess I am still in the thinking phase.  More to come...but I digress.

The picture was taken by my sister-in-law, Nichole, at my nephew's birthday party.  My sister-in-law takes some great photos.  Check out her website if you are in the greater St. Louis area (www.soleaphoto.com).

A few other items that I used on this layout are the doilies (from my stash), Dear Lizzy gold letter stickers, Thickers - Dear Lizzy - RSVP, Studio Calico Wood Veneer - Stars, Wink of Stella - Gold, Tim Holtz - Black Soot ink, Heidi Swapp Color Shine - Black, Tim Holtz - paper clips, MME 6x6 paper pad - Christmas, and Studio Calico 6x6 paper pad - Memoir.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Scrappin'

I'm A Ray

Today I have another 1 page layout to share that I made using supplies from my stash.  Being on a spending freeze has really motivated me to use what I have in my stash that has just been sitting (either because I liked it, but didn't have any plans for it when I bought it or I worried, "well if I use it, it will be gone" for those items I just love...which by the way is crazy...if I love it so much, why wouldn't I use it on a page...anyway, I digress).

Today's page is a layout featuring my daughter and her movement to the Ray/Starfish lessons at our local YMCA.  She was so proud.  She was an Eel for quite some time and after taking her to the local pool last summer, something just clicked.  She was putting her face in the water and really getting her arms out to do a front crawl.  So awesome.  It is so neat to see the light bulb go off.

All of the paper came from the Snapshot Stack from DCWV.  I used Studio Calico - Mr. Huey in Warm Calico for the splatters, blue bling I had in my stash, and the word epoxy sticker are from K and Company - Life's a Journey collection.  The font if from Pink Paisley called holly doodle.

Hope you enjoyed and happy craftin'.  Until next time.

March Scraptastic Kit - Ava's 5th Birthday

I got a bit of scrapbooking done last night (Happy early Mother's Day to me :)).  I made this layout using my March Scraptastic Kit (It's My Life).  I really like how it turned out.  I have been using a lot fewer pictures lately, but this time, I couldn't decide on only a few so I trimmed them all down to 3.5" x 3.5".

A few things I used from my stash are:

  • camera washi tape (I believe I got it from Michaels)
  • Homemade enamel dots (see Nichole Jones' YouTube channel for more information)
  • Polaroid's were cut from a sheet from a 12x12 paper pad that I have had in my stash for quite some time.  It is called the Snapshot Stack from DCWV.
  • Arrows are from American Crafts - Studio Calico (Snippets Collection).

My kiddo loves Chuck E. Cheeses.  I have to admit, I do love going there too (I used to go there when I was just a wee one when it was called Show Biz....who remembers that?).  This year 2 of her friends have had their birthday parties there.  My favorite is the skeet ball...we are still working to figure out what she likes best.

Hope you have enjoyed.  Happy Mother's Day for all those mommys out there.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.
