Yeah, unmounted stamps = more room for more stuff :)

I have moved all of my scrapbooking/crafting supplies to one of my spare bedrooms.  In doing so I realized that I have WAY too much stuff.  I sold/donated some of the stuff, but I still do not have enough space.  So I needed to get creative with my space.  In a previous post my hubby and I made a clip it up for my plethora of stickers and such.  One of the other things I decided to do was convert all of my wood mount Stampin' Up! stamps to cling mount.  Here is how I did it.  (I really need to start posting videos instead of taking all of these pictures - one of the many things on my To Do List).

Here is the storage space before. Now I do have more stamps, but this is all that would "fit" here.

So here is one of the wood mount stamps pre-convert.

First, pull the rubber away from the gray foam.  If you have any issues you can nuke it in the microwave for 3 sec or so, but I didn't have any trouble with mine.  (So what do you think of those nails??)

Here is what it looks like when it if removed.

I used cling mount foam from Stampin' Up! 

Just peel the paper back and put the rubber onto the stick side of the cling mount foam.

Next I used a hot knife to cut the foam cling mount foam around the stamp. 

The knife cut like butter.

Now I have about 100 wood blocks to find sometime to do with.  Let me know if you guys have any good ideas.  I have come up with at least one that I will be showing in another post.

I put the converted into Stampin' Up!s Bulk Clear Mount Stamp Cases.  Now look at all of the room it saved.  LOVE IT!!
