Life is Good

I love the pictures of my daughter and me (mostly my daughter - look at that crazy book bag I am carrying) at the beach.  This was the first time she got to see the ocean.  Unfortunately, we needed to catch a plane back home so we were only able to stay for a few minutes, but I could tell she was excited.

The edges of all of the paper and accents were inked with Tim Holtz frayed burlap.  Wow, just realized that Scrapbook Pal has some pretty good pricing on Tim Holtz ink (not to mention free shipping on orders of $25 or more).

I really only wanted a 1 page layout.  Mostly because I only had a few pieces of this patterned paper to work with.  All of the paper I either had in my stash or got at an Archiver's crop.   Since I did have more pictures than space on the 1-page spread, I make a little mini flip book out of cardstock.  I used photo turns, graciously donated by a fellow cropper friend (thanks Denise), to keep the book closed while "not in use".  They were the perfect color.  I need to get me some of these.  I tend to do this a lot since I can't seem to part with many pictures and hate doing 20, 2-page spreads for one event :)

The wave icon and "Life is Good" title was cut using the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge.  I think every time I look at this cart I see a new thing I don't remember seeing before.

Well hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration.  Happy Craftin'.  Until next time.

  1. Love this layout! The title block looks great! I know you struggle with the journaling sometimes but the "story" you used on your blog would make great journaling! Thanks for sharing!
