Botanical Garden

I love this page kit that I got from Legacy Paper Arts.  Melissa puts together some AMAZING kits.  I highly recommend signing up for her monthly club.

These flowers took forever (just ask the girls that I cropped with).  There was a lot of inking, spritzing, crinkling, repeat.  I love how they turned out though.  Very textural.

I inked around all of the butterflies with various cat eye chalk inks to give them a bit more dimention, cupped the paper a bit, and popped them up on pop dots.  I also added some antenna, made with white wire (they looked a little naked with out them :) ).

Head on over to Sarah Hamer's blog and Link Up Tuesday to see what everyone else is up to.

Teacher Thanks

Just realized that the kiddo has been out of schools for almost 3 weeks and I hadn't posted the card I made for her pre-school teacher.  This was her first year of preschool and I wasn't sure what to get her teacher so I thought, why not a card.
I had just gotten my new Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge in the mail...one of my new favorites.  LOVE IT!  So I just had to use that one.  So that is what I used for the background.  The apple is from the Doodle Charms cartridge and the pencil is from Everyday Paper Dolls.  I can't remember which cartridge I got the little yellow tag from.  All of the paper was from my stash.
I wrote thanks on the little tag and tied it to the apple using Sew Easy Fancy Floss Bakers Twine.  On the refection on the apple I added a bit of Ranger Glossy Accents.

On the inside I just cut a simple thanks (sorry, forgot this cartridge as well- crap, need to write it down next time.)

Check out this weeks Link Up Tuesday at Sarah Hamer's blog.  She always has some talented crafters linking up.

Hope you enjoyed this card.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Happy Crafting.

I think I am addicted...

So my collection gets bigger.  I now have two more Tim Holtz ink pads (worn lipstick and spiced marmalade) to add to my collection.  I got them at Michaels when they had a sale last week (buy 1 get 1 free -Justification enough for me :) )
